Naturalization Eligibility Requirements

1.      You are at least 18 when you file

2.      You have been a lawful permanent resident for at least 5 years or 3 years if you are married and have been married for those 3 years with a U.S. citizen

3.      You are able to demonstrate continuous residence for at least 5 years or 3 years if applying under married to U.S. citizen spouse

4.      You have lived in the U.S. State /District for at least 3 months before filing

5.      You must demonstrate physical presence in the United States for at least 30 months (913 days)

6.      Demonstrate good moral character

7.      Demonstrate attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution

8.      Demonstrate a basic knowledge of U.S. history and government as well as the ability to read, write, and speak and understand basic English

9.      You are willing to take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States
